Boys Are LOUD! (Part 2)

Photobucket

Boys are LOUD!  Boys are rowdy.  Boys wiggle.  Boys shout.  Boys run.  Boys jump.  Boys ask questions.  Boys take risks.  Boys hug.  Boys race.  Boys play.  Boys pray.  Boys learn.  Boys teach.  And boys are LOUD!
The sky is blue.  The grass is green.  Birds sing.  Lions roar.  Crickets hop.  Cats stretch.  The water of the oceans sway.  The mountains stand tall and firm.  The trees grow.  The wind blows.
And the name of Jesus is exalted in it all.
His Creation declares His glory the way He designed it to.
Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory
in the heavens.
Through the praise of children and infants
you have established a stronghold against your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.
When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?
You have made them a little lower than the angels
and crowned them with glory and honor.
You made them rulers over the works of your hands;
you put everything under their feet:
all flocks and herds,
and the animals of the wild,
the birds in the sky,
and the fish in the sea,
all that swim the paths of the seas.
Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
Psalm 8

Oh how I want them to pipe down! :D – but to have fun. Where is the balance? I think they need to have respect and should be expected to be quiet when told, especially at other people's homes. So how do you establish what is good noise and what is bad noise? I'm all for playing and having fun, but when it gets out of hand and annoying to others….yeah… I definitely have a struggle with wanting them to just shush all the time, so thanks for sharing this!

Yes, there is a need for discipline and for children to obey, but I find too often I and others try to make children behave like small adults. We get upset with them for being who God made them to be. Children. They need time to play and be rambunctious. The general rule in our house is if it's happy noise (and the baby's not sleeping) it's good noise. :)

Um. I think you forgot one. Boys wrestle. Lol! I have three of my own and can totally relate. :) What a wonderful tribute to all that boys are. And a wonderful thankful post!

    Hugs

Well put. Boys are all those things and wonderful! I have two little boys, and we welcome all things boys. They are only this age once, right? :)

What a lovely reminder that God created my LOUD and crazy boys, and that He delights in them. Thank you!!

What a beautiful Psalm to read this afternoon. God's creation is beautiful — as is the NOISE from my grandboys!

    Boy, aren't they and don't they…
I love how God created boys, especially mine.
    Sweet post today, Christy!
